Colleges in India by establishing universities for technical education,

Polytechnic Colleges: The polytechnic

General colleges: Admission to the general Degree Colleges in India is based on
the 10+2 / Higher Secondary / Pre-Degree examination or equivalent course

in India are based on two factors and they are:
- Completion of the 10+2 / Higher Secondary / Pre-Degree examination with Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics and for Medicine, it should be with Biology.
- A high score in the Joint Entrance Examinations of the State or
the All India Examinations.
Polytechnics: The admission criteria for Polytechnics Colleges
in India is a pass in the tenth standard examination and depending on the marks
obtained in the Science subjects the admission is offered.
