- Diploma in Archaeology: Master Degree in History or equivalent. For the one year course admission, score in the admission test is considered.
- Advanced Diploma in Archaeology and Museology: Diploma in Archaeology or passing in 10+2 with history as subject is the eligibility. The three year course can be pursued alongside the undergraduate degree program.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Archaeology: Master Degree in Ancient or Medieval Indian History/ Archaeology/ Anthropology from a recognized university or equivalent including Indian Classical language. The two years course admission is as per the score in admission test and the viva. The maximum age limit is 25 years.
- B.A. in Archaeology and Museology: It is a three years course and the eligibility is passing 10+2 with history as a subject.
- B.A. in History with Archaeology and Museology: It is a three years course and the eligibility is passing 10+2 with history as a subject.
- B.A. in Indian History, culture and Archaeology: It is a three years course and the eligibility is passing 10+2 with history as a subject.
- M.A. Archaeology: any graduation from a recognized university is the eligibility.
- M.A. in Ancient Indian History, culture and Archaeology: any graduation from a recognized university is the eligibility
- M.phil. in Ancient Indian History, culture and Archaeology: Master Degree History or Archeology or equivalent is the eligibility.
- M.Phil. in Archaeology: Master Degree in Archaeology or equivalent is the eligibility

Career prospect and the pay package for Archaeology Courses
Teaching is one of the major options. The teachers are recruited for the subject Social Science. Graduation, B.Ed. and passing in TET or CTET are the requirements for the School teacher. The government teachers are usually paid around 10,000 and above including allowances.
Post graduation as well as passing in the National Eligibility Test (NET) is the requirement for attaining lectureship in the specialization. Passing in NET with good score also provides the chance to gain the Fellowship. Ph.D. holders are recruited as Associate Professors, Professors, Readers and Registrars. The government lecturers are paid around 25,000 and above including allowances.
Archaeologist is another job role suited to the stream. One can find position as Archaeologist in the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in state or central level through the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) or through the State Public Service Commission (SPSC) examinations. The pay package starts from 20,000 and above including allowances.
The opportunities are also offered in Government and private museums as curators or managers. The pay range starts from 15,000 and above as per the experience.
