There is only one major Engineering Colleges in Mizoram other than the NIT. There are four Engineering courses in the branches of Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication and Electrical Engineering that are on offer at this College in Mizoram. Presently, there is no Medical College in Mizoram but one is expected to be established soon. A technical College in Mizoram offers several short term Vocational Courses in Bamboo processing, Tailoring, Leather processing, Carpentry, Horticulture etc. There is another technical College in Mizoram exclusively for Electronics and Information Technology. Out of the two Nursing Colleges in Mizoram, one College offers Bachelors in Pharmacy and paramedical courses too.
Admission to Colleges in Mizoram
The basic eligibility criterion for admissions in Colleges in Mizoram is the common intermediate (10+2) pattern. The seats in Engineering College in Mizoram are filled based on the performances in All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) and Mizoram University Engineering Entrance Examination (MZUEEE). For Master’s degree Courses, a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject is required.
