The National Institute of Technology of Rajasthan is situated at Jaipur. The institute is one of the old institutes of our country, established in the year 1963. The institute is initially established as Malaviya Regional Engineering Colleges Jaipur (MREC) and in the year 2002 it was upgraded into National Institute of Technology and was declared as Institute of National Importance. With the motto ‘Diligence Leads to Excellence’, the institute has produced more than three thousand four hundred Undergraduates, over thousand students of Post Graduates and Doctorates.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains and the score in 10+2 are considered for the admission into B.Tech. program. GATE score is required for the admission into Post Graduation programs and the admission process is through couseling. The admission into M.Sc. program is through the written test conducted by the college and an interview.
