Science stream is considered as one of the most chosen streams.
    Mathematics,
    Physics,
    Chemistry and
Biology are the major subjects of Science stream. After 12th, the
stream leaves number of options before the student to choose. Before choosing the
next step, students must know the number of possible educational ways available
for them. This helps to take a right step as per their interest and possibility.

First major two choices that stand before a 12th pass out student are: Continuing
the studies and Taking up a job. Both the choices are equally supported. It is assumed
that the students who are financially weak stop the studies and start working at
such age. It is not totally true. Many of the aspirants choose it willingly to grab
better opportunities. So many jobs like Navy, Army and few private institutes like
banks recruit the personnel at such age and train them with the pertinent courses
that they could be better professionals. They expose them to learn the practical
working techniques as trainees besides the theoretical studies. This helps them
to gain the qualification and experience simultaneously.

Those who really deserve the financial aid can also take the choice without breaking
the studies. There are number of institutes and colleges who offer courses at the
working people’s convenient timings and also offer correspondence courses. This
helps them to earn money, experience as well as the qualification. However it is
also true that the stress may be comparatively more as they need to balance job
    and studies.

Continuing the education allows the student to concentrate more on studies and to
spend more time on it. Major options a science student gets to continue in science
stream are - Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Technology or Architecture, Bachelor
    of Science,
                        M.B.B.S.

For the entrance in MBBS or for Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Technology or
Architecture, students have to attend the entrance tests conducted by the colleges.
The score in the 12th and the score in the entrance test are the majorly considered.
Few of the colleges also conduct interview or group discussion as part of the admission
process. Candidates must know the available specializations earlier and choose the
college offering it as all specializations are not offered by a college.

Bachelor of Science also has number of further options like Computer Science, Biology,
Statistics, etc. Veterinary Science, Nursing, Pharmacy etc are the other options.
Students can opt any of the major subject as per their interest. Few of the Universities
and colleges are offer Integrated 5 years courses of Graduation and Post Graduation.
After the post graduation, the students can also go for Master’s in Technology (M.Tech.).
These Graduation courses in Science are the minimum eligibility criteria for several
    job profiles.

Apart from the regular educational courses, several Certificate and Diploma courses
are available. These courses can be accomplished besides the regular studies. Even
without the regular graduate courses, the courses are sufficient enough to grab
a job in certain categories or to get self employed.

There is no rule that one has to continue in the same stream chosen in class 12th.
If anyone wishes to switch the stream, there are several other courses which allow
the admission even for the science students such as Fine Arts, Teacher Training
    courses and Humanities.
