Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) are institutes of higher  education in India established, recognized, funded and managed by the Ministry  of Human Resource Development of India. They are focused mainly on Information  Technology. These IIIT’s offers  undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs in courses related to IT like  computer sciences, fields of design, electronics and communication, informatics  to name a few. In order to make India an IT hub, there is a  proposal in the budget for establishment of twenty more IIIT’s for every major  state of India that are fully autonomous and under Public- Private partnership  model.
