Indian Navy Sailors Matric Entry Recruitment Exam is conducted by Indian Navy for the recruitment of personnel in the naval wing of Defense force. The exam is conducted twice a year. The examination is conducted in most of the cities around the country.

The exam recruits the personnel of sophisticated ships, submarines and aircrafts. The duties involve the maintenance of the equipment onboard. The recruitment is taken for the branches like Executive, Electrical, Engineering, Aviation, Submarine and Medical. The job includes two years of probation.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for the exam. The minimum age limit is 17 and maximum is 20 as on 1st August of the year of the exam. The candidate must meet the physical standards like height and Chest. Minimum height is 157 cm. Minimum eye standard is 6/12. Educational Qualification is Matric or equivalent from the recognized Board with minimum 55% in aggregate and 55% in Science and Mathematics separately. Candidates those who score less than 55% in Matriculation or its equivalents exam are considered as eligible if the aggregate marks in higher board examination are minimum 55% with the subjects Science and Mathematics.

Indian Navy Sailors Matric Entry Recruitment Exam Pattern

The selection procedure include written test, Physical Fitness Test and Medical Test. Written test include the subjects like English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge.

The syllabus for English includes Comprehension, Transformation of sentences, Punctuation, Tenses and Parts of Speech. For Science, the syllabus is Matter, Universe, Electricity, Chemical Bonding, Heat, Gravitation, Nuclear Energy, Work and Energy etc. Mathematics includes Algebra, Surds, Trigonometry, Mensuration, Set theory, Geometry, Linear equations, Polynomials, Exponents etc. General Knowledge includes current affairs, basic computer knowledge, Indian History and Geography etc.

The exam is objective type and the questions are asked bilingual – Hindi and English. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes. Those who qualify the exam are eligible for the Physical Fitness Test. Physical Fitness Test includes running, squats and push-ups. Candidates those who clear the Physical Fitness Test are tested medically.

The notification is found in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar. The candidates must check the eligibility criteria. The application must be completed as per the mentioned format on a plain paper. The application can be handwritten or typed. The duly filled application must be sent to the Zonal Recruitment Offices within the date.

How to Prepare Indian Navy Sailors Matric Entry Recruitment Exam?

The exam is conducted in the standard of class 10. Thus following the high school text books is rather important. Several publications are providing the books that could help in the preparation of these topics.

English grammar and vocabulary must be practiced. Any general English Grammar book or high school text books would help for preparation. Comprehension of passage also must be practiced.
