Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia is the undergraduate program that deals with the detailed concepts of multimedia such as Graphics, Desktop publishing, 3D concepts etc. Multimedia is the amalgamation of various contents of different formats. Audio and video, pictures and animation, etc are combined to get the required content form. The field is very vast and expanding that the utilization of combined mediums is delivered by the professionals.

The duration of the course is 3 years. Desktop publishing, digital photography, web designing, 2D and 3D animation, Script Writing, story board designing, sound and digital editing, Basics of Direction etc are the major topics that are taught. The course includes project work and practical work experience. The knowledge in computer science and in arts helps the students to achieve success in the field. Creativity, critical thinking, artistic view, reasoning etc are the other requirements.
Those who have passed 10 + 2 with any of the optional subjects from a recognized board are eligible to apply for the course. There is no maximum age limit for the course.
Though higher study in the field is suggested, aspirants can utilize the wide variety of job roles it offers. Art Director, Modeler, Visual Effect Supervisor, Animator, Digital Editor / Animator, Technical Director, Character Designer etc are the job roles that are found for the students of the course. Film studios, Advertising companies, IT companies, Television studios, Digital educational content companies etc provide the job opportunities. One can either choose to work in any of the companies or can choose self employment by establishing a startup. The pay package is usually high in the field and higher for the experienced or for those who prove themselves.
