National Institute of Technology of Uttar Pradesh is situated in Allahabad. The institute is established in the year 1961. Initially the college started as Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College (MNREE) and in the year 2002, it was upgraded into NIT and was renamed as Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology. Now, the institute is popular with the acronym MNNIT. With the motto ‘Success comes through hard work’, MNNIT puts all its efforts to produce quality of education. Till date, the institute has produced more than two thousand five hundred student graduates with Bachelor degree and around thousand students with Post Graduation degree. MNNIT stood in top ranks in various surveys and recognized as one of the ‘Top Engineering colleges of Super Excellence’.

For being eligible in the admission process of Bachelor degree in Engineering, students must have good score in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains. 60% of JEE (Mains) score and 40% of 10 + 2 score, passed with the subject Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English, are considered during the admission procedure. NIMCET score for MCA, GATE score for M.Tech., CAT score for MBA – are considered for the admission.
