National Institute of Technology of Gujarat is named as The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology. It was established in the year 1961. With the motto as Charioteer of Science the college provides quality of education. The college is recognized by the world for the project “Center of Excellence”, a project on water resource and flood management which is also supported by the World Bank. The college is declared as Institute of National Importance.

Eligibility for National Institute of Technology, Gujarat
For the entrance into B.Tech and integrated M.Sc., the students has to pass in class 12 with the subject Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.The admission to B.Tech. and integrated M.Sc. is through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) on the basis of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) – Main and of the secured percentage in class 12. For M.Tech., besides Graduated in Engineering/Technology or Post Graduation in Science students must have good score in GATE Examination.
