About SNAP Entrance Exam

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP is conducted by Symbiosis International University for admission to its various graduate programs in institutions under the university.

SNAP Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria

  • All candidates applying for SNAP need to be an Indian citizen above 21 years of age.
  • Graduates in all disciples and institutions recognized by the HRD ministry of the Government of India are eligible to appear for MAT examinations
  • Graduate students awaiting results are also eligible to apply for the examination.
  • The cut off percentage is 50% for candidates in General category and 45% for SC/ ST candidates.

SNAP Entrance Exam Pattern

The 2 hour long examination is divided into 4 sections and has 150 objective questions. There is a 1/4th negative marking for each incorrect answer. Section 1 is General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning and Ability. This section has 40 questions of 1 mark each. The 2nd section is General Awareness: General Knowledge, Current Affairs and Business Scenario which has 40 questions of 1 mark each. The next section is Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency, which also has 40 questions of 1 mark each. The final section is Analytical and Logical Reasoning which has 30 Questions of 60 marks each.

SNAP Entrance Exam Syllabus

English Comprehension - It includes Verbal Reasoning, Comprehension of passage, Analogies, Contextual usage, Antonyms, Foreign language words used in English, Jumbled paragraphs , Fill In the Blanks, Sentence correction, Sentence completion, idioms, odd man out, one word substitution, Errors in word choice, Conditionals & Multiple Usage , mania & phobia, Incorrect words, Mood, Different usage of same word, Proverb, Punctuation, Phrasal verb and so on.

General Awareness- This paper will have questions from Current Affairs, History, Science, Geography, Business, Major corporate events , International organizations , Books and authors , World Records, Punch line of companies, Social issues, Famous award and prizes, Top officials of big companies, Important quotations, Sports, Entertainment, Finance, Automobiles, Politics, and so on.

Quantitative Analysis - It includes Profit & Loss, Installment Payments, Ratios and Proportion, Geometry, (Lines, angles, Triangles, Spheres, Rectangles, Cube, Cone, etc.), In-equations Quadratic and linear equations Algebra, Percentages, Averages, Partnership, Work and time, Time-Speed-Distance, Number system, HCF& LCM, Arithmetic progression, Geometric Progression, Geometric mean , Arithmetic mean, Harmonic mean, Median, Mode, Number System, BODMAS, Mensuration, Work, Pipes and Cisterns, Simple & Compound Interest, Venn Diagram, Set Theory, Partnership, Allegation& Mixtures, Clocks, Permutations & Combinations, Probability, Trigonometry, Binomial Expansion, Vectors, Co-ordinate geometry, Logarithm, Maxima & Minima Progression, Complex numbers and Surds & Indices.

Data Interpretation and Reasoning – It includes Data Interpretation based on text, graphs and tables, Critical reasoning, Assumption-Premise-Conclusion, Visual reasoning, Assertion and reasons, Identifying valid inferences ,Statements and assumptions, Identifying Strong arguments and Weak arguments, Cause and Effect, Statements and conclusions, Matrix arrangements, Linear arrangements, Puzzles, Functions, Symbol Based problems, Family tree - identifying relationship among group of people, Sequencing , Coding and decoding , Identifying next number in series, and so on.

How to Apply for SNAP Entrance Exam

Candidates must apply online through the official SNAP website. Complete the application form and upload a scanned photograph. A SNAP ID will be generated. Exam fees can be paid through Credit Card (only Visa and MasterCard), Net Banking or Crossed Demand Draft favoring ‘Symbiosis Test Secretariat’. Exam fees as cash payments are accepted at all mentioned bank branches all over India. Admit card can be downloaded from the website after application has been processed.
