How to Prepare for NIMCET Entrance Exam 2024


National Institutes of Technology (NITs) offer postgraduate courses in computer application. Selection to these 3 years (6 semester) computer application program on the basis of Common Entrance Test called NIMCET (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test). This all India Entrance Examination is open to all graduates who have studied Mathematics as a subject in the 12th or equivalent qualification.

NIMCET is highly competitive examination with thousands of students seeking admission in the prestigious NITs all over India. The limitation on the number of seats and high number of aspirants makes the competition really tougher. Begin preparations at least an year ahead of the exams.

Here are some tips that can help you clear the NIMCET successfully.

Know Your Syllabus – Obtain a copy of the latest syllabus before you draw up a schedule for studies. Prepare all the 4 subjects - Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and General English. Be sure to cover the syllabus exhaustively as mastering core concepts alone is he key to clearing the exam easily.

Mathematics test the candidates’ knowledge in Set theory, Probability, statistics, Algebra, Co-coordinate geometry, Calculus, Vectors and Trigonometry. Basic maths and formulae are important in this section.
