Collection, classification, organizing, storage, rescue and retrieval of information
are the major activities of Library Science. It is studied in the combination of
Information Science. As the science is experiencing the assistance of computers,

Academic Eligibility: The academic eligibility of Certificate and Diploma course
is passing in 10 + 2. For Bachelor Degree, passing in a Degree from any recognized
University. For Master Degree, Graduation in Library Science or equivalent from
a recognized University is the eligibility. For M.Phil. and Ph.D., passing in MLISC
A contemporary librarian job doesn’t end with dealing and organizing the books,
magazines and news papers but also the digital equipment that contains the information
like CD or DVD, films, tapes etc. Providing accurate and timely information that

suitable choice. Public Service Commission recruits the librarians for Government

(DRDO), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) also recruit librarian paying

Manager in Internet Embedded Reference services, Resource Discovery Managers who
help to identify new products etc. are the contemporary positions.
